I do not usually write reviews when I am satisfied with the service I receive, and I think Michael and his team deserves a five star. I brought my 2008 Lexus ES350 to this shop when I moved to Fremont. I did some research on internet and there were quite some good reviews of this shop. Last week I brought in it with an AC problem. It was a tricky one, and they did got it wrong at the beginning. Michael called and was straightforward about what they have done and where they got it wrong. And they did not charge me for anything they shouldn't have done to fix the issue, regardless of the time they put into figuring out what is wrong about the car. If you are someone like me who is researching for a place for service, I would recommend these guys. They are responsible and trustworthy.

Brought my 3rd gen 4Runner here a few weeks ago and these guys definitely know what they're doing. I explained the issues I was having with it and they said they would take a look at it. Couple hours later I get a call with the diagnosis. At first I was told it wouldn't be ready until the next day because they didn't have the part which kind of bummed me out but not even an hour later I got a call that they were able to get the parts and that it would be ready to pick up by the end of the day! Upon pick up they even gave me a list of things I should replace/fix with what I should do first from top to bottom glad I found this place and I will definitely be coming back.

Tony & Mike provides the best customer service. Best quality work, price is reasonable.

I've been coming here to get my oil change. Good price. Nice staffs. Very welcoming. I always call to make an appointment. Never had any trouble!!

Im really happy to have found this auto shop for several reasons. I love how friendly, personable and HONEST the guys here are. They don't over charge for unnecessary things, they happily sit through renditions of "my car makes a tsk tsk vrrrrrrrr' noise when I start it" Best of all, its walking distance to my home, so I can get home without any fuss or having to get a ride here and back.

Very good and smooth service! Reasonable price, which is 1/3 cheaper than my former auto center! The staff is very friendly, and also reliable!

I was pleasantly surprised by Mike & Tony (Alvin's sons), who provide friendly and Top Rate Mechanical Service. I called Alvin's Fri 3-1_19 & Mike set up Mon 3-4-19 appt for $50 Safety Check. Immediate repairs of my Accord cost $135 with thorough 27-POINT Visual Inspection (major diagnostic) N/C & noted 11 (eleven) problems listed BY PRIORITY! I'm very pleased with $50 Safety Check and labor 2Hrs to reveal hidden but repairable Issues on my 2001 Honda Accord EX. Anyone buying used cars or trucks w/b helped by Alvin's thorough testing of motor, accessories for current status that owners/sellers may forget to reveal.

Fantastic auto shop. I was new to the area and was anxious about finding a good mechanic after a chain auto shop quoted me over $1200 for some basic work. Brought the car to Alvin's for a second opinion and the guys explained that the shop was quoting me for everything they COULD do not what they NEEDED to do. Alvin's gave me a very clear explanation of what needed to be done and gave me a more than fair price. Since then I've always brought my car here, they take the time to figure out exactly what the issue is instead of starting with the easiest answer. They saved me from some pretty expensive transmission work by spending an entire day to work out that I had a bad bearing in a funny spot. They called me throughout the day with updates and didn't charge me for the extra time they spent on diagnosis. They always take the time to explain what the issue is and breakdown the cost for you. They also do a great job of offering different price points if used parts are an option. Overall great work, and fair prices.

I brought my 2013 bimmer to Alvin's for a routine oil change and to diagnose a clunking noise from the suspension. For this diagnosis alone my dealer had quoted $230! Alvin and team did a great job and for no charge, I only had to pay minimal labour charges for the fixes that came out of the diagnosis. The folks here are super transparent and don't recommend unnecessary repairs. An example of this is the rear brake pads - while my dealer tried to push into having them changed, Alvin's said that I have a good 10K miles more to go with these brakes. Alvin and team are awesome and will be my go-to car care folks forever.
