As a retired DIY mechanic I have been searching for a shop to take care of those non-trivial repairs I might have done in the past. I've found a good one in Alvin's Auto Center. My 22-year-old Ford developed a noisy wheel bearing that needed replacing. Mike and Tony at Alvin's worked up and sent me a detailed estimate within minutes, including options on the work/inspections. Their prices (OEM parts) were fair, and they were honest about scheduling. Delays with parts delivery meant the car was in the shop for two days (not a problem). Overall, I am very happy with the experience and the outcome. And once again radio & conversation are possible!

Whether I go to the shop in Milpitas or in Willow Glen I always have the best experience. Both teams have great communication, and they take the best quality to ensure the job is not just done in a timely manner, but it is done right.

I had high expectations because of the good reviews, but it was completely different from what I expected.

Alvin's came through again! We had a multitude of things that needed replacing on our older car. They go the extra mile to get parts either from the dealer or second market. A breath of fresh air to have a conscientious, thorough mechanic!

Excellent service , and honest people. They diagnosed an issue with my car and felt that I should go to the dealer and have it replaced under warranty. I appreciate the honesty, their thorough troubleshooting, and their giving me all the information I need to take to the dealer. will definitely look here first next time I need service

Michael and his team did a great job. Although pricey at over $2K they ordered the parts and finished the job on time. It was my first visit there since the Hyundai Service Team did not accept emergency walk in customers and would only see you with an appointment. I’m really not sure how you could schedule an appointment when you aren’t able to drive the car. Very strange reaction from Hyundai that, to this day, I don’t understand.
